Jewelry

I have decided to blog about a girl's top twelve list of best friends in no particular order. Today, for the first friend, I chose jewelry. It is an obsession that women seem to have ingrained in their mind from birth. Something shiny is just so captivating we might buy and wear it so that maybe it might cast its allure on our bodies. From Tiffany, to Lia, to Joan and Judith on QVC its an addiction. I recently fell into this trap myself. Thanks to my best friend Kathryn, I am now officially addicted to Lia Sophia! I am almost positive we have all heard the saying "Diamonds are a girls best friend", but now you don't even need the real thing thanks to Diamonique! Maybe it is because jewelry can complete the perfect outfit, or be the perfect gift, or cheer up, or apology, that women just can not get enough. So, tell me your story, or share your favorite piece. I've posted the one on my Christmas List along with my most recently purchased.

OMG... Amanda, I absolutel love jewelry!!! My life would be incomplete without jewelry!!
My favorite piece of jewelry is this diamond heart drop necklace. It goes with everything!!!
I'm not a big fan of QVC. I personally think that the homeshopping network has better jewelry. You should check it out!! =)

You're going to think I'm ridiculous, but I like getting cheap jewelary. But not just cheap, but also unique. I'm big into earrings, especially if they are from the dollar store. I don't usually shop at places like Tiffany's or expensive places.

Amanda hear is a story I will never forget. July of this past summer I was getting ready to go make an appointment for the tattoo on my foot. My best friend Erin was coming with me and two days prior was me and my boyfriends 6 months. He bought me this beautiful necklace. It is shaped like a heart and has diamonds in it. So when I got to the tattoo parlor I made my appointment and the artist that was scheduled to do my tattoo came out and asked me what i had wanted done. I originally wanted a rosary on my foot with one red rose behind it with my grandfathers initials in the cross. Well needless to say all I got back was "No!" from the tattoo artist. Scared out of my mind now after he told me the tattoo I wanted I wasnt getting he continued to tell me that everyone always gets the same thing and that he is tired of doing the same thing and he wanted me to be original and create my own idea. Well I had nothing. No ideas no nothing, but the artist did. I was wearing the necklace my boyfriend had got me and he asked me to take it off and I swore he was trying to steal it but he ended up making a photo copy of it and told me that i was going to have a rosary on my foot but instead of a cross i was going to have a heart. And that is what my tattoo ended up being a replica of the necklace my boyfriend got me on our six months. Gotta love jewelry, it comes in handy even in times of desperate measures

I love jewelry but I have to agree with Laura on this one. Being a broke college student, the only jewelry I buy is stuff from Mandees lol. =) But I love looking at the expensive stuff too...maybe when I'm really rich I'll splurge on a necklace haha.

I love jewerly, dangly earings, bangles, oversized rings, delicate necklaces, etc. Everytime I visit a place I try to buy a piece of jewerly from there...and when I wear it I think of the place...I also love jewerly from family and friends...some have special meanings... :)
